Who have you been competing with? Think about it…have you been competing with your best friend, your older sister, that girl in all your classes, or maybe your boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend? Maybe you’re competing with some singer, some actress, some model? I think you get the idea.
As females, we tend to compete (whether consciously or subconsciously) with someone who seems to have it all going for them. We tend to compete with someone that we see as having the beauty, the talent, the intelligence, the man, the attention, the money. We compete with her, and we try to become her. That HAS to stop. We have to stop competing with illusions of “having it all”, of being “the whole package.” They are simply illusions. Those girls, those women have NEVER been your competition.
The real competition has ALWAYS been YOU. It’s who you used to be, it’s who you want to be. That’s where your energy should be. That’s what you should be focusing on. At the end of the day, you’re goal is to figure out who you are supposed to be and become her. You are supposed to learn from the girl that you have been, in order to become the woman that you are supposed to be. So I’m telling you to stop it! Stop comparing yourself to those other girls and the illusions of perfection. Stop competing with her beauty, stop competing with her intelligence, stop competing with her talent. STOP competing with them and START competing with you! Start working on yourself as if YOU are your biggest competition.
